This carrier oil is very fine textured, leaving the skin a satiny smooth finish, without the greasy feeling. It is pale green in color and has no distinct smell. It has some mild astringent qualities that are good for oily skin.
It contains minerals, proteins, and vitamins including Vitamin E. It is also rich in linoleic acid which is important for the skin and cell membranes and supports normal cell growth, thereby, encouraging skin regeneration. It is non-greasy and is readily absorbed by the skin, which is beneficial for individuals whose skin does not seem to absorb easily.
It helps regenerate and restructure mature, damaged, and stressed skin (especially around the eyes and the neck). But it is similarly good for all skin types. This oil is good for persons with the possibility of nut-allergy reactions because it is extracted from seeds. It has an excellent moisturizing effect, and it also tightens and tones the skin.
This is one of the lighest and most popular carrier oils and can be used as 100 percent carrier in massage. It spreads easily and provides good slip for massage treatments. It can be enriched when mixed with another carrier oil, such as Almond or Wheatgerm oil. It is also used as base oil for many lotions and creams.
